Expert care so you can actually rest.

We place three types of newborn care professionals — each at a different level of specialization and rate. A night nanny is your most accessible option; a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) brings advanced certified training; and a postpartum doula focuses on supporting the whole family. We'll help you figure out which is right for you.

🌙
Overnight Baby Care

Your specialist handles all nighttime feeds, soothes, and diaper changes while you sleep — giving you uninterrupted rest for the first time since birth.

🍼
Feeding Support

Breastfeeding guidance, bottle feeding support, paced feeding, and help establishing a feeding routine that works for your family.

😴
Safe Sleep & Soothing

Expert knowledge of safe sleep practices, swaddling, and proven soothing techniques to help your baby settle — and stay settled.

💛
Postpartum Emotional Support

A calm, nonjudgmental presence for parents navigating the emotional highs and lows of new parenthood — even at 3AM.

"I didn't know how badly I needed help until our newborn specialist arrived. For the first time in weeks, I slept through the night. I cried happy tears the next morning."
— New mother, Cherry Creek, Denver
Our newborn specialists provide support without judgment — every feeding choice, parenting style, and family dynamic is respected and honored. We are here to support you, not advise you on how to parent.

Every new family deserves this support.

👶
First-Time Parents

Navigating newborn care for the first time can be overwhelming. A specialist gives you confidence, answers your questions, and helps you settle into your new role.

🏥
Postpartum Recovery

Whether recovering from a C-section, managing a difficult delivery, or dealing with postpartum mood changes — your health matters too. Rest is part of healing.

👶👶
Multiples & NICU Graduates

Twins, triplets, or babies who spent time in the NICU often need specialized attention and feeding schedules. Our specialists are experienced with complex newborn care.

💼
Working Parents Returning Early

Heading back to work before you feel ready? A newborn specialist bridges the gap, keeping your baby on a consistent routine while you maintain your professional life.

👨‍👩‍👦
Families With Older Children

Managing a newborn alongside older kids is a different kind of exhaustion. Overnight support means you can be present and energized for everyone in your family.

🌙
Anyone Who Needs Sleep

You don't need a specific reason. If you're exhausted and need rest, you deserve support. That's reason enough.

Three types of newborn support —
which is right for your family?

Each option offers a different level of specialization and comes at a different rate. Here's a clear breakdown to help you decide — or call us and we'll guide you.

🌙
Most Accessible Option
Night Nanny
Also called: Night Nurse

A career nanny with strong infant and newborn experience who takes over overnight — the most affordable newborn overnight support option.

  • Overnight feeds, diaper changes & soothing
  • Safe sleep support and swaddling
  • Strong infant experience, no formal NCS certification
  • Detailed overnight logs for parents
  • Works while parents sleep — you rest all night
Typical Denver Rate $25–$35/hr
💛
Specialized · Primary Focus: Parent
Postpartum Doula
Certified Doula · Family Support

A certified specialist focused on supporting the whole family — particularly the birthing parent — during recovery. Typically works daytime hours.

  • Emotional & physical recovery support for parents
  • Breastfeeding coaching & lactation guidance
  • Postpartum mood support & education
  • Light household tasks (meals, laundry, errands)
  • Sibling adjustment & community referrals
  • Typically daytime — some offer overnight
Typical Denver Rate $28–$55+/hr
💡 Not sure which is right for you? Many families combine options — a night nanny or NCS for overnight baby care, and a postpartum doula for daytime parent support. Sometimes a single specialist can fill both roles. Our placement coordinators will help you figure out the right fit and budget. Book a free 30-min call — no pressure, just clarity.

A typical night with your specialist.

Every specialist is different, but here's what most families experience when working with a Cherry Creek newborn care specialist:

🕘
Evening Handoff

Your specialist arrives, reviews the day's feeding log, and gets briefed on baby's mood, last feed, and sleep cues before you head to bed.

🌙
Overnight Baby Care

All nighttime feeds, diaper changes, and soothing are handled. Your baby is never left to cry unattended. You sleep undisturbed.

📋
Detailed Overnight Log

Every feed, diaper change, and sleep window is documented so you wake up informed, not surprised. No guessing what happened overnight.

☀️
Morning Debrief

Before leaving, your specialist reviews the night with you — what went well, what to watch for, and any feeding or sleep pattern observations.

Common Questions

How many nights per week do I need?+
Most families start with 3–5 nights per week. Even 2–3 nights can make a significant difference in your sleep and recovery. We'll help you figure out what makes sense for your situation.
How long do families typically use this service?+
Most placements run 4–12 weeks — often coinciding with the "fourth trimester." Some families continue longer. We can do short-term or longer arrangements based on your needs.
Does a specialist work if I'm breastfeeding?+
Absolutely. Your specialist handles everything around the feed — bringing baby to you, managing any pumping or bottle prep, burping, and settling baby back to sleep — so you're only awake for the actual nursing, not everything around it.
What's the placement fee for a newborn specialist?+
Our placement fee for night nurses/NCS/doulas is 20% of total gross compensation, with a $3,800 minimum — whichever is greater. A $350 search initiation fee is due at signing. Visit our Fees & Calculator page to estimate your cost.
How quickly can you place a specialist?+
We can often place a newborn specialist within 1–2 weeks of your initial consultation. We recommend reaching out before your due date if possible, as demand is high in Denver.
